Eva has been working with clay since before she could read. She started mostly working with polymer clay making miniatures, then wedding cake toppers and small sculptures. When she had access to ceramics for the first time, in college, she starting turning her artwork into functional pottery using base relief and etching techniques. Eva has also worked with kids her entire professional life including volunteer art therapy teaching at a refugee elementary school in NC and running creative summer camps. Having assistant and substitute taught for Faye for 3 years, Eva is excited to be taking on her own classes. Eva’s teaching style is to nurture and encourage while helping kids process and express their emotions and creativity through art! It is deeply based in cultural literacy and kindness.
